Finding keywords to target with your content

If you want to write articles that match the keywords people search for, then you need to know what they're searching for. That is, if you know people are looking for frobnosticators, then writing an article about frobnosticators will help the search engine match your site with those searchers. The question is, how do you find out what people are searching for.

Google Suggest: As of this writing Suggest is a beta service which pops up suggestions as the user types text into the search box. It makes for a very helpful user experience, but, wait, there's more, as it also offers us a free listing of the top search results. See, the suggestions Google provides are based on various factors, including popularity. Hence, using Suggest is a quick way to get some popular keywords and keyphrases.
